On August 15, 2024, the Gender and Development Office conducted a significant seminar titled "Differential Effects of Mental Health Issues to Men and Women." at ASIST Main Campus, Lagangilang, Abra,  Mr. Elizier B. Lazo delivered the welcome remarks emphasizing the need for employees to be educated on mental health and stress management. His introduction set a meaningful tone for the day, highlighting the importance of mental health education in the workplace.

With a focus on internationalization, research, innovation, and academic excellence, the ASIST Office of Research and Development, in collaboration with the Graduate School, is extending its global reach by hosting the 1st International Multidisciplinary Research Conference on September 25–26, 2024, with the theme "Exploring Research Outcomes and Development for ASEAN Integration." 

In a significant step towards enhancing academic collaboration, the Abra State Institute of Science and Technology (ASIST) participated in a comprehensive historical research training program hosted by the University of the Philippines Baguio. Mr. William Jared Real represented ASIST at this three-day intensive workshop, which took place from August 5-7, 2024.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) recently played host to the Cordillera Administrative Region State Universities and Colleges (CAR SUCs) Governing Board Meeting on August 1-2, 2024. The event brought together key education and government officials from Kalinga State University (KSU), Ifugao State University (IFSU), Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC), and ASIST to discuss and strategize relevant concerns of their respective SUCs.

The Abra State Institute of Sciences and Technology (ASIST) took a significant step towards enhancing its students' career readiness on August 1, 2024, by participating in the ReSkills Orientation via Zoom. This event, organized by Mr. CD Lee, Head of Program of Global Reskilling Movement (GRM), marks a pivotal moment in the institute's commitment to equipping its students with cutting-edge skills for the modern workforce.
