United in Leading the Way: UA Student Leaders join Panagtipun 2023

Five representatives from the University of Abra (UA) actively took part in a recently concluded Regional Youth Leaders’ Summit (RYLS), highlighting the university's commitment to well-rounded leadership. Discourse and collaboration among the region's emerging leaders took place at the Panagtipun 2023 RYLS with the theme Cordillera Youth Leaders Unite for Change amidst Challenges, held from November 17 to 19 at the City of Baguio.
6th Heritage AIM: Celebrating ELDER

The ASIST-Cordi101 Team attended the 6th Heritage AIM, held on November 22-23, 2023 at Ifugao State University. Under the theme "Celebrating ELDER," the event aimed at finalizing the Cordillera Heritage 101 workbook, a crucial step before its distribution to various Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the region.
BSA Students and Faculty have undergone Training on Basic Bee Keeping

The Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, 3rd and 4th year students majoring in Animal Science and Organic Agriculture together with their subject teachers have undergone 3 days of “Training on Basic Bee Keeping” at the National Apiculture Research and Development Institute (NARTDI), Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University, Bacnotan, La Union on November 7-9, 2023.
BSA 3 on-the-Job Training

Along with their OJT Coordinator, the third-year Bachelor of Science in Agriculture students majoring in Animal Science, Crop Science, and Agricultural Extension underwent on-the-job training in the various agencies, namely the Agricultural Training Institute-Research Training Center, La Trinidad, Benguet; the Bureau of Animal Breeding Research Center, Baguio City; and the Research Outreach Station, Ros Luna Apayao on August 08- September 20, 2023.
SHAPE: Specializing and Harnessing ASIST Priorities for Excellent College Instruction

Faculty members from three campuses recently participated in In-Service Training (INSET) as part of the FRAME (Faculty Re-engineering Academy for Masterclasses and Excellent College Instruction) Project, which was spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The goal of this program, which was the first stage of the FRAME Project, was to change the way that ASIST delivered instruction by emphasizing the acquisition of new pedagogical concepts for improved college learning transfer.
